Our Story

McClean Meats is a locally owned, family meat business, offering Quality with Value to our customers in Derry / Londonderry and the North West region since 2000.

In terms of heritage, our “butchery provenance” makes for a relatively short story. Basically, we took charge of a meat processing business in 2000 and there began North West Pork Products ltd, our very own meat odyssey. A father and his sons, working side by side, supplying meat (initially pork) to food and catering establishments and a smattering of domestic customers. We needed to learn the business quickly … and quickly we learnt it!

Over these years the direction of our business has changed to reflect the meat market here in Derry / Londonderry and the North West. We opened butchers shops in different local towns and villages and learnt first hand what customers and specifically families want and expect from a local butcher.

We put this experience into our Meat Factory Outlet out here in sunny Campsie / Campsey (you decide which) and concentrated on bringing high quality and value to family tables throughout the North West.

Now, we feel we’ve earned the right to put our name above the door! So, as of 2019, the business formerly trading as Meat Factory Outlet, a subsidiary of North West Pork Products ltd is now …. McClean Meats, an online shop to enable us to supply an ever extending bank of customers.

We hope to continue supplying premier meat at value to our existing customers and we look forward to welcoming new customers!
